For those who simply want to enjoy a gentle trundle through the villages, there are plenty of none-too-challenging routes along the valley bottom, while more committed riders will find some of the county’s most challenging climbs in the Bowland Fells.

For cyclo-cross and mountain biking enthusiasts, the miles of dedicated singletrack routes in Gisburn Forest is one of the best facilities in the UK, attracting thousands of riders to test themselves against the tough terrain in the wilderness of the Forest of Bowland.
